The Collection of Personal Data
Please be aware that most of our websites are available and open to you without having to provide any Personal Data (defined below). However, in order to access and use certain Application Developers Alliance properties and resources or parts of websites, we may request Personal Data from you, like your name, e-mail address, company name and telephone number (personally identifiable information or "Personal Data"). The Alliance uses this information to customize your experience as an Alliance member on our web site and provide you with a password to use these web sites, or for the purposes stated at the time of collection, such as participation in a promotion. The Alliance aims to ensure that any Personal Data held by the Alliance is accurate. Collecting Domain Information
As is true most web sites, The Alliance gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include internet protocol (IP addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/ exit pages, operating system, date/ time stamp, and/ or clickstream data. This data enables us to become more familiar with which customers visit our site, how often they visit and what parts of the site they visit most often. The Alliance uses this information to improve its web-based offerings. This information is collected automatically and requires no action on your part. We do not tie Personal Data to domain information, except as necessary to prevent abuse or fraud on our site.
Use of Tracking Technologies
Technologies such as: cookies, beacons, tags and scripts are used by The Alliance and our partners [specify type e.g. marketing partners], affiliates, or analytics or service providers [specify type e.g. online customer support provider, etc]. These technologies are used in analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual as well as aggregated basis.
